Their story
Tribute to Mummy Akinde
I woke up this morning to see the tribute posted on Facebook yesterday by Samuel, your son, in remembrance of you on what would have been your birthday. Honestly, I was not aware of your passing until this morning, and the news came as a great shock to me.
We served together at PSS Minna before I joined the Federal Ministry of Education. Mummy was such a kind and warm-hearted woman. She was particularly good to me and would always speak gently, with that beautiful, reassuring smile on her face.
I am very sure that her passing must have dealt a huge blow to the college community and to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, warmth, and gentle disposition will surely remain in the hearts of those she touched.
Mummy Akinde, we love you, but God loves you most. Your memories will live on in our hearts. Rest on peacefully until we meet again, to part no more.
Adieu, Mummy Akinde.
