Their story

My father, Mallam Ibrahim Garba, was a calm and steady man. He was not the type to make noise or draw attention to himself, but his presence was always felt. When he sat in a room, you knew he was there. He listened more than he spoke, and when he did speak, his words carried weight. Many people came to him for advice, prayer, help, or just the comfort of being around him.

As his son, I saw a side of him that many people may not have noticed. I saw the way he carried the family in his heart. I saw the sacrifices he made quietly. I saw how much he cared, even when he did not always say it with many words. His love was in the way he provided, the way he checked on people, the way he remembered family matters, and the way he tried to keep everyone together.

I will miss the small things the most. His voice. His smile. The way he drank his tea. The way he called my name. The way he sat and watched everything with that calm look on his face. The way home felt more secure because he was there.

Alhamdulillah for the life he lived. I am grateful for the years we had with him, for the lessons he left behind, and for the example he gave us. He taught us patience, discipline, faith, and respect, not only with his words, but with the way he lived.

May Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus. I will always be proud to call him my father. His prayers, his love, and his name will remain with us.
