Their story

Mrs Cecilia Olushola Bajepade was born to Late Pa Bartholomew Adelugba & Mrs Omiponmile Adelugba on 5th January 1964 at Ikoro Ekiti, Ekiti State. She was brought to Badagry in Lagos by Mrs Roseline Funmilayo Agboola. Later, she moved to Agege, where she attended Iloro Senior Comprehensive High School, Mangoro, Agege. She later learnt fashion design at Oluwafunmilayo Fashion Centre, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, and she did business. She was hardworking and industrious. On February 25, 1983, she got married to Mr Sunday Joshua Bajepade. They were blessed with four children. She was baptised in the year 1990 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Oworonshoki. Mama lived her life religiously; she served God till her last breath. She was called to be with the Almighty God on the 29th of March 2026, at the age of 62.

You were, without a doubt, the most incredible person I have ever known. Beautiful, witty, and profoundly kind, you turned our house into a home and our lives into an adventure. I miss the little things — the way you smiled, your laughter filling the room, and the wisdom you shared without even trying. I miss your passion, your kindness, and the way you always thought of others. You loved our family with everything you had, and you made everything around you more beautiful just by being you. Thank you for choosing me to walk alongside you. Thank you for the memories that I will carry for the rest of my life. You may have left this earth, but I still feel you near. I am a better man for having loved you, and that love is stronger than death. You are my forever love. Rest in peace, my darling.

When life placed me at a crossroads, with a job in my hands but no place to call home, she opened her door without question and welcomed me with a heart so warm, it felt like I had always belonged. For three beautiful years, her house became my shelter, her presence, my comfort. Each day when I returned from work, tired and worn, there was always a meal waiting — made not just with hands, but with love. And on the nights I came home late, when the world had gone quiet, she would sit awake in the living room, just to be sure I got back safely. That simple act, repeated so many times, spoke louder than words ever could. When she fell ill, it broke my heart. We did all we could, hoping, praying, believing she would stay. But in the end, God called her gently home. Now, I hold tightly to her memory — her meals, her care, her quiet watchfulness. Though she is no longer where my eyes can see, she lives on where it matters most, within my heart. For even a moment in her love was a lifetime of blessing. I will never forget. Adios, Mama.

Mama Bajepade was a woman of remarkable character — strict, straightforward, and bold. She spoke the truth without fear or compromise, always saying things exactly as they were. Many who passed through her guidance in the children's department can never forget her unique style of discipline. During her time, the children's department was calm, orderly, and grounded in godly instruction. As a church, we hold onto the blessed hope that at the resurrection morning, we shall meet again. May she sleep on in perfect peace till that Great and Glorious Resurrection Morning. Amen.
